Malen gives Netherlands the lead against Croatia

The Netherlands created the dangerous chances in the first half against Croatia. However, they had to wait until the 33rd minute to break through the Croatian defence and score the first in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals.
Recent Champions League winner Nathan Ake led an attack down the left flank and fed Mats Wieffe inside the box. The Feyenoord midfielder controlled and found an unmarked Donyell Malen.
The Borussia Dortmund winger unleashed a right-footed cross-shot that left goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic, who dove well but could not reach the ball, with no chance.
Ronald Koeman's side deserved the first goal in front of their home crowd in Rotterdam and finally got it through one of their most dangerous players. Malen was a constant headache for the Croatian defenders on the right flank.
