Frenkie de Jong is a highly sought-after player on the transfer market. The Dutch player was on Man Utd's agenda last summer and Ten Hag is still obsessed with the midfielder, who wants to stay at Barcelona.
However, the English side have not given up after being rejected by De Jong. In fact, Ten Hag has asked the club to do everything to get his signing.
According to 'The Sunday Times', Man Utd have more than 100 million euros to improve their squad next January and Frenkie de Jong is their priority because they want to reinforce their defence.
The midfielder rejected United because he wants to renew his contract with Barca. It seems unlikely to happen in January, but the option of a possible departure next summer is increasing.
Frenkie has played 17 competitive matches at Barcelona, eleven as a starter, in which he has scored two goals and provided one assist. He has played a total of 1,133 minutes for the Spanish side.
