After the confirmation that Alejandro Garnacho will miss out Argentina's fixtures during the October international break, The 'Albiceleste' have also announced on Monday that Marcos Acuna is ruled out of the squad to due fitness issues.
The River Plate star has sustained physical discomforts, which will force him to sit out on the games against Venezuela on Thursday and Bolivia on Wednesday the following week, valid for the South American World Cup qualification.
"River Plate's Marcos Acuna is ruled out of the squad due to physical discomfort. To replace him, Club Lanus player Julio Soler has been included in the squad," reads the national side's statement on their socials.
This is Julio Soler's first ever call-up in the senior squad, as he previously played for the under-23 side during international friendlies and in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The defender provided one assist from four appearances during the Olympic Games with Argentina's under-23 side.
