Anthony Martial has been out of action since May due to a hamstring tear he suffered in the 2-1 victory over Fulham in the Premier League. The Frenchman is making good progress and looks set to return to action.
According to 'The Athletic', the 27-year-old is expected to return to training this week and could be available to face Real Madrid on Thursday.
The same media outlet reports that Erik ten Hag will only count on the striker if he is fully recovered. Jadon Sancho has been taking Martial's place in pre-season. However, the English side are still in the hunt for a world-class striker.
