Artem Dovbyk leaves La Liga and starts a new journey in Serie A with Daniele de Rossi's Roma. The striker was looking for an interesting project and has ended up being convinced by the 'Giallorossi' proposal.
The striker has signed until 2029 with Roma. The clubs have not given figures of the transfer, but 'Sky Italia' said that the sale would have been closed for about 35 million euros. Of the total deal, Girona will take 80 per cent, while the remaining 20 per cent will go to Danish side Midtjylland, who had part of the player's rights.
After a great season at Girona, Dovbyk's objective is to prove that he has the talent to provide plenty of goals for Roma's forward line, in which he will be the main man.
Dovbyk, who has played for teams like Cherkaschyna-Akadmiya, Dnipro, Balti, Midtjylland, SonderjsykE and Dnipro, hopes to repay his new team the confidence they have shown in him with goals.
In his last season in La Liga, the striker played 39 games in which he scored 24 goals and provided 10 assists. Now he hopes to be that clinical striker that Roma are so desperate for in a competition that is unfamiliar to him. Those who know him know how much he can give through dedication, sacrifice and perseverance.
In this new adventure at the Olimpico de Roma, the player will wear the No 11 on his back. Girona, for their part, have thanked him and wished him all the best.
