Borussia Dortmund aren't going to mess around when it comes to Edson Alvarez. The club is looking at a future without English star Jude Bellingham, who looks almost certain to go and play for Real Madrid next season.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano posted one of his famous tweets on Thursday that reported that the Ajax midfielder is now the German club's top priority to reinforce their squad. It seems we are still waiting for contact and a first offer however.
Borussia Dortmund will launch Operation Alvarez in the coming days. The Mexican is under contract in Amsterdam until June 2025 so the Germans will have to pull out their chequebook to convince the 25-year-old.
The midfielder has 4 goals and 3 assists this season in his 43 games played. Despite his importance to the Dutch side, it's important to know that they won't be playing in the Champions League next season, which could play a role in his decision.
