A bittersweet victory for United fans. Smashing Chelsea at home (4-1) didn't come without a cost. United lost Antony in the first half. After a heavy tackle from Chalobah, the Brazilian stayed on the ground. He tried to get up, but fell back down, and had to be taken off the pitch on a stretcher in tears. He was replaced by Marcus Rashford.
After the match, Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils' manager, gave an update on his player. "Antony's injury? I can tell you that it's serious We have to wait 24 hours to be sure of the nature of the injury", stated the Dutchman.
The 23 year-old will therefore be out for the last game of the season. Arriving at United in 2022 from Ajax, Antony has scored 10 goals in 47 matches in all competitions wearing the Man Utd jersey.
