Torino have confirmed, in an official statement, that they have completed the signing of Saul Coco from Union Deportiva Las Palmas. All parties are comfortably satisfied because the Canary Islands club has signed a defender who was due to finish his contract next year for 7.5 million euros and the Turin club has acquired a replacement for Alessandro Buongiorno for a much lower price than that received for the latter's transfer to Napoli.

Saul Coco has joined Torino. The 25-year-old defender from Las Palmas leaves La Liga to sign for a team that challenged for European competition last season. He had just one year left on his contract, and UDLP have pocketed 7.5 million euros plus 2.5 million euros in variables and 10% of a future sale.
The news was leaked a couple of days ago thanks to ‘Radio Marca Canarias’ or ‘Canarias7’ and is now official. The club announced it through their website, that he has committed until 30 June 2028 with an option to extend this link for one more season.
This move is a very interesting challenge for the defender, who was promoted to the Primera Division with the islanders and has become an important part of Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta's squad.
Torino have not objected to paying around 10 million for him even though he only has one season left in Spain because they have just received 35 million for the sale of Alessandro Buongiorno to Napoli.
