Chelsea need to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after two straight games without taking the three points. After a draw at home against Nottingham Forest and a defeat at Anfield against Liverpool, the Blues face a tough test against Newcastle.
Enzo Maresca's side came out all guns blazing against the Magpies and managed to take an early lead thanks to a great play between Jackson and Cole Palmer. The former Villarreal striker received on the halfway line and found the English midfielder in space with a defence-splitting pass.
The Manchester City youth player drove the ball and once inside the box beat Nick Pope with a low cross-shot to break the deadlock at Stamford Bridge. However, following a VAR review the goal was disallowed after Palmer was caught offside.
Chelsea currently sit seventh with 14 points, while Newcastle are eleventh with 12 points, tied with Bournemouth and Fulham.
