The head of Investigation Court number 10 in Valencia has summoned as investigators the three young men aged between 18 and 21 who were arrested last Tuesday as alleged perpetrators of a hate crime, having uttered racist insults at the Madrid player Vinicius on Sunday at Mestalla.
The investigator will also take a statement by videoconference, as an injured party, from the Brazilian, according to the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community in a statement which does not provide information on the date of these appearances.
Prior to this statement, the 3 investigated persons must appear before the judicial body to be instructed of their rights in application of article 118 of the Criminal Procedure Act.
The court initiated the proceedings after receiving a report on a possible hate crime drawn up by the Information Brigade of the Higher Police Headquarters of the Valencian Community.
These preliminary proceedings have been joined by a complaint for the same facts filed by La Liga, an entity which has already been joined in the case as a private prosecutor.
The court will also summon the 'Che' club to identify some security guards who were working on the day of the match in order to summon them to testify as witnesses.
