Gabriel Batistuta sent congratulations to Leo Messi on equalling his record as Argentina's top scorer in World Cup history. He wrote a message for Messi on his social media.

Leo Messi scored his tenth goal in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar against the Netherlands, equalling Batistuta's tally. Messi scored the second goal in the quarter-finals against Van Gaal's side from the penalty spot after scoring his first goal in knockout matches against Australia in the last 16.
Gabriel Batistuta sent congratulations to Leo Messi on equalling his record as Argentina's top scorer in World Cup history.
"Dear Leo, congratulations! I held the record for 20 years and enjoyed it. Now it is a great honour and pleasure to share it with you, hoping with all my heart that you can beat it already in the next match!," Batistuta wrote on his Instagram.
The Albiceleste striker is six goals behind Germany's Miroslav Klose, the all-time leading scorer at World Cups.
