Huge blow for Barcelona as Ansu Fati will sit out pre-season tour with injury

Bad news for Ansu Fati on his return to Barcelona. The Spanish player has suffered an injury to the sole of his right foot which will keep him sidelined for an indefinite period of time.
"In training on Tuesday, first team player Ansu Fati suffered an injury to the sole of his right foot. He will undergo conservative treatment in Barcelona and the timetable for his return to training will depend on his progress," Barcelona said in a brief statement.
It is a huge blow for a player who was returning to Barcelona after his loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion and who was hoping to rise from the ashes with the presence of Hansi Flick.
The injury to the sole of his foot will prevent him from touring the United States with FC Barcelona, who will leave on Sunday for their pre-season training camp.
