Borussia Dortmund's Asia tour continues to go from strength to strength. With the international break due to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the German club are touring Asia to keep up their competitive pace.
The Germans played a friendly match in Singapore against the Lion City Sailors, a team from the country's national league, whose fans enjoyed the presence of the Bundesliga side at their home ground.
Up to nine goals were scored in the match, in which Donyell Malen scored a hat-trick. It was in the 32nd minute when his shot hit the body of a defender and ended up going into Azahari's goal.
From then on, the next few minutes of the first half the striker stole the show. The Borussia player scored a couple more goals, in the 34th and 45th minute, to raise his personal tally to a hat trick.
With the second half underway, Samuel Bamba joined the party, but Gabriel Quak pulled one back for the Asians a couple of minutes later. But again Bamba, Rijkhoff and Justin Njinmah brought the Germans' lead to a seventh goal, which made it 2-7 after Faris Ramli's late strike in the 91st minute.
