Sporting Lisbon REJECT Chelsea £73m bid for Viktor Gyokeres

Viktor Gyokeres has been the surprise package of the Portuguese league this season, starring as the star of a Sporting Libon side that leads the standings with 43 points.
The former Coventry City man's 20 goals and 11 assists in just 24 appearances have put him on the radar of several of Europe's elite clubs, including Chelsea.
The Blues are currently experiencing a goal drought and the Stamford Bridge outfit are reportedly interested in strengthening their front line this winter, with Viktor Gyokeres one of the candidates.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have reportedly had their £73m bid for the Swedish striker rejected by Sporting Lisbon, according to Portuguese media outlet 'Record'. It is worth noting that Gyoeres arrived at the Portuguese club this summer and his contract does not expire until 2028.
