After the renewal of Raul Albiol, Villarreal have another player in mind to shore up their defence. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Yellow Submarine are close to signing Willy Kambwala, a Red Devil youth player.
The young defender had the opportunity to make his debut with the first team last season under Erik ten Hag. Faced with countless absentees for Manchester United throughout the campaign, the Frenchman was able to make 10 appearances between the Premier League and FA Cup, leaving a good impression.
The amount of the transfer would be around 10 million euros and the Old Trafford side would keep an option to buy him back. However, the final details have yet to be finalised before the deal can be made official.
Villarreal would add a new addition after the arrivals of Pape Gueye for the midfield and Diego Conde for the goal. In addition, he would be a future signing, as he is only 19 years old at centre-back.
